Before dealing with the topic of the Fish in Quran versus Bible versus sciences, it is mandatory to remember that the total words in the Bible are 788,280 while the total words in the Quran are 77,473. It follows that, the Bible is more than 10 times the Quran word-wise. The Pearl is mentioned 10 times in the Bible and six times in the Quran, i.e. the Bible mentions the Pearl about twice as does the Quran. In other words, the Bible has the potential of more than 10 times (word-wise) and twice (subject-wise) than the Quran to talk about the Pearl.

A pearl is a hard, rounded stone like object produced by certain animals (oysters). Pearls can be used in jewelry and in cosmetics or in paint formulations.

Freshwater pearls are formed in freshwater mussels that live in fresh water e.g. in lakes, rivers, ponds etc. saltwater pearls grow in oysters that live in the ocean and seas.

The Pearl in the Bible:

The mother-of-pearl in the king’s palace

Esther 1:5-6

5 When these days were over, the king gave a banquet, lasting seven days, in the enclosed garden of the king’s palace, for all the people from the least to the greatest, who were in the citadel of Susa.

6 The garden had hangings of white and blue linen, fastened with cords of white linen and purple material to silver rings on marble pillars. There were couches of gold and silver on a mosaic pavement of porphyry, marble, mother-of-pearl and other costly stones.

No mention shall be made of pearls

Job 28:18

No mention shall be made of coral, or of pearls: for the price of wisdom is above rubies.

Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and then turn and tear you to pieces.

Matthew 7:6

Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and then turn and tear you to pieces.

the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls:

Matthew 13:45

Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls:

Matthew 13:46

Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.

Women should adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array,

Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.

But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.

1Timothy 2:9

9 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;

10 But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.

11 Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. 12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.

The Woman again!

Revelation 17:4

And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:

Revelation 18:12

The merchandise of gold, and silver, and precious stones, and of pearls, and fine linen, and purple, and silk, and scarlet, and all thyine wood, and all manner vessels of ivory, and all manner vessels of most precious wood, and of brass, and iron, and marble,

Revelation 18:16

and cry out: ” ‘Woe! Woe, O great city, dressed in fine linen, purple and scarlet, and glittering with gold, precious stones and pearls!

Is the Lord lamb?

Revelation 21:21-27

21The twelve gates were twelve pearls, each gate made of a single pearl. The great street of the city was of pure gold, like transparent glass.

22 I did not see a temple in the city, because the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple.

23 The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp.

24 The nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their splendor into it.

25 On no day will its gates ever be shut, for there will be no night there.

26 The glory and honor of the nations will be brought into it.

27 Nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life.

======

The Pearl in the Quran:

There are two types of Pearls, the Freshwater and Saltwater Pearls

Surah 55:19- 22

[19] He has let free the two bodies of flowing water (salt and fresh), meeting together:

[20] Between them is a barrier which they do not transgress:

[21] Then which of the favors of your lord will ye deny?

[22] Out of them come pearls and coral:

The righteous deeds shall be adorned therein with bracelets of gold and pearls

Surah 22:23

Allah will admit those who believe and work righteous deeds, to gardens beneath which rivers flow: they shall be adorned therein with bracelets of gold and pearls; and their garments there will be of silk.

Surah 35:33

Gardens of eternity will they enter: therein will they be adorned with bracelets of gold and pearls; and their garments there will be of silk.

The women companions in the Paradise are with beautiful, big, and lustrous eyes, like unto pearls well-guarded

Surah 56:11-24

[11] Those will be those nearest to Allah:

[12] In gardens of bliss (delight):

[13] A number of people from those of old,

[14] And a few from those of later times.

[15] (They will be) on thrones encrusted (with gold and precious stones),

[16] Reclining on them, facing each other.

[17] Round about them will (serve) youths of perpetual (freshness),

[18] With goblets, (shining) beakers, and cups (filled) out of clear-flowing fountains:

[19] No after-ache will they receive therefrom, nor will they suffer intoxication:

[20] And with fruits, any that they may select:

[21] and the flesh of fowls, any that they may desire.

[22] And (there will be) companions with beautiful, big, and lustrous eyes,-

[23] Like unto pearls well-guarded.

[24] a reward for the deeds of their past (life).

The male servants in the Paradise are boys who are like unto pearls well-guarded

Surah 52:17- 24

[17] As to the righteous, they will be in gardens, and in happiness,-

[18] Enjoying the (bliss) which their lord hath bestowed on them, and their lord shall deliver them from the penalty of the fire.

[19] (To them will be said “Eat and drink ye, with profit and health, because of your (good) deeds.”

[20] They will recline (with ease) on thrones (of dignity) arranged in ranks; and we shall join them to companions, with beautiful big and lustrous eyes.

[21] And those who believe and whose families follow them in faith,- to them shall we join their families: nor shall we deprive them (of the fruit) of aught of their works: (yet) is each individual in pledge for his deeds.

[22] And we shall bestow on them, of fruit and meat, anything they shall desire.

[23] They shall there exchange, one with another, a (loving) cup free of frivolity, free of all taint of ill.

[24] Round about them will serve, (devoted) to them, young male servants (handsome) as pearls well-guarded.

Surah 76:10-22

[10] “We only fear a day of distressful wrath from the side of our lord.”

[11] But Allah will deliver them from the evil of that day, and will shed over them a light of beauty and (blissful) joy.

[12] And because they were patient and constant, he will reward them with a garden and (garments of) silk.

[13] Reclining in the (garden) on raised thrones, they will see there neither the sun’s (excessive heat) nor (the moon’s) excessive cold.

[14] And the shades of the (garden) will come low over them, and the bunches (of fruit), there, will hang low in humility.

[15] And amongst them will be passed round vessels of silver and goblets of crystal,-

[16] Crystal-clear, made of silver: they will determine the measure thereof (according to their wishes).

[17] And they will be given to drink there of a cup (of wine) mixed with zanjabil,-

[18] A fountain there, called salsabil.

[19] And round about them will (serve) youths of perpetual (freshness): if thou seest them, thou wouldst think them scattered pearls.

[20] And when thou lookest, it is there thou wilt see a bliss and a realm magnificent.

[21] Upon them will be green garments of fine silk and heavy brocade, and they will be adorned with bracelets of silver; and their lord will give to them to drink of a wine pure and holy.

[22] “Verily this is a reward for you, and your endeavour is accepted and recognised.”

Back to the main topic of my series of articles (1- 75); this is my question to you smart readers: “Is the Quran quoted from the Bible “?

9 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;

======

9 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;

======

======

Family vacations in La Manga Del Mar Menor boast adventure, culture and relaxation all in one exciting trip. The famous strip along the southeastern coast of Spain offers activities which appeal to both young and old. The region’s cuisine, warm waters and recreational activities make it the perfect place for a family vacation.

La Manga Del Mar Menor consists of a 22 kilometer strip of land between Spain and the Mediterranean Sea. Due to its unique location, it encloses Europe’s largest saltwater lake, Mar Menor. It’s temperature is considerably warmer than its larger cousin, the Mediterranean Sea. The strip is a scant kilometer at its widest and 300 meters at its narrowest spot.

It size gives visitors the choice between two distinctive bodies of water in which to swim and play. The Mar Menor, which translates to “Little Sea,” is a favorite for those seeking family vacations. It’s been called “the world’s largest swimming pool” because of its warm temperature. Since it’s also shallow, it is an ideal spot for children to frolic.

La Manga Del Mar Menor is conveniently located near a number of major tourist destinations. It is situated just a few hours from major centers like Murcia and Cartagena. This means even more opportunities for families to explore the best of Spain. Both cities have a rich history which will interest children and adults alike. Museums, ancient ruins, cathedrals and landmarks beckon tourists on family vacations. Even the youngest family members will appreciate the Naval Museum in Cartagena and the Bullfighting Museum in Murcia.

The Torrevieja Water Park (Torrevieja Aquopolis) is also within a few hours drive of La Manga Del Mar Menor. The aqua park attracts tens of thousands of locals and tourists on family vacations from June to September each year. The theme park of Terra Mitica is also popular with families on vacation. It is located in Benidorm along the Costa Blanca across from La Manga Del Mar Menor.

Family vacation packages at the world famous La Manga Club resort on the Mar Menor take the guesswork out of holiday planning. Guests can choose from a variety of family-oriented activities. Many of its services are available to guests staying outside of the club as well.

Families also rave about the abundance of outdoor recreation available all along the Costa Blanca and the Mar Menor strip. Horseback riding is a popular option. Quad biking is another favorite. Rentals, equipment and lessons are available in various locations in the Mar Menor coastal region.

No family vacation in La Manga Del Mar Menor is complete without taking part in a water sport. The Mar Menor is an ideal spot for water recreation due to its shallow depth and balmy temperature. Kite-surfing, windsurfing, sailing, scuba diving and snorkeling are just a few of the many local favorites. Tours can be chartered at a number of locations along the coast and strip. Most of these have family-friendly options and can accommodate even the youngest of family members.

One of the biggest delights of any Spanish family vacation is enjoying local restaurants. Regional food is always embraced by tourists. It is characterized by local spices, exotic sea salts, fresh local produce, meat and fish. Many restaurants have kid-friendly options. If tourists can’t convince picky children to try Mediterranean food, there’s usually a pizza parlor nearby.

Many tourists come away surprised by the abundance of options available for family vacations in La Manga Del Mar Menor. In fact, a large percentage of vacationers return again and again to enjoy the family activities in the Mar Menor region.

In every fantasy baseball league, there’s always one guy who makes a surprise pick or two during the draft. He’s usually the guy who’s done his homework on Fantasy Baseball Sleeper Prospects. He’s the guy who reads Fantasy Baseball Dugout.

Fantasy Baseball Dugout is proud to present its 2008 Fantasy Baseball Sleeper Prospects. The criteria for qualifying as a sleeper prospect is that the player was not a regular for the 2007 season and that the season was his first in The Show. Most fantasy baseball sleeper players were September call-ups to The Bigs, but some you probably would not have heard of unless you were an avid minor league fan.

#1 — Joba Chamberlain, Starting Pitcher, New York Yankees.

Once a hefty 272 pound pitcher at D-II Nebraska-Kearney, Chamberlain lost weight and was simply dominating at every professional level in 2007. He’s an interesting guy–a Native American member of the Winnebago tribe.

A hamstring injury hampered Chamberlain and he did not make his pro debut until May. He then made it all look easy.

Chamberlain started at Hi-A Tampa where he went 4-0 with a 2.03 ERA and 51 strikeouts in 40 innings while holding hitters to a microscopic .181 average. He was promoted to AA Trenton where he went 4-2 in seven starts with a 3.35 ERA and a massive 66 K’s in 40 IP’s. After three appearances at AAA Scranton/Wilkes Barre where he fanned 18 in 8 innings, Chamberlain was promoted to the Yanks.

You would think that Chamberlain’s meteoric rise would have been too much to put up similar numbers with the Bronx Bombers. Nothing could have been further from the truth. Chamberlain worked out of the bullpen and appeared in 19 games. In 24 IP’s, he fanned 34 while walking just 6 and giving up 12 hits. Opponents were nearly invisible against Chamberlain at the plate with a .145 BA. Chamberlain’s ERA in the bigs: 0.38.

Chamberlain has the makings of a closer or a #1 starter. Manager Joe Girardi is going to be hard pressed to not move him quickly into that #1 starter role in 2008. Watch his status closely during Grapefruit League games. You could end up with a mid-round steal in Chamberlain.

Fantasy Baseball Dugout considers Chamberlain to be a top 20 pick among all pitchers in the 2008 fantasy baseball draft. He will win at least 15 games in pinstripes and will be a dominant strikeout machine with enormous upside potential in future years.

# 2 — Clay Bucholz, Starting Pitcher, Boston Red Sox

Bucholz is the best home grown pitcher from the Sox farm system since Roger Clemens. This guy is certainly no surprise given the fact that he tossed a no-no in just his second major league start last season against the Orioles. He likely would have made the Red Sox post-season roster had Boston not shut him down with a tired arm.

Bucholz was simply dominant in the minors last year and is another strikeout machine for leagues who take whiffs into account. Bucholz averaged 12.3 strikeouts per 9 IP last year in the minors with AA Portland and AAA Pawtucket.

All this despite the fact that Bucholz was not a full time pitcher until 2005 when he was picked in the first round supplemental draft by the Sox. Several teams stayed away from Bucholz because of an April 2004 theft arrest.

The right hander tops out at 95 MPH with his fastball and has a 12-6 curve to go along with an effective change. Most scouts would like to see him rely on his fastball more and it remains to be seen if he can hold up for an entire season as he pitched a career high 149 IP’s last year and was gassed at the end of the season.

Fantasy Baseball Dugout projects Bucholz as the # 4 starter this year for Boston behind Beckett, Matsuzaka, and Lester. He’ll get his chances to impress and will probably be the Sox # 2 man by next season.

# 3 — Jacoby Ellsbury, Outfielder, Boston Red Sox

Ellsbury is another guy who is already well known, yet still qualifies as a rookie. Ellsbury relieved a slumping Coco Crisp in the World Series last year and hit a sizzling .438 in the Fall Classic. This was after hitting .361 in September while playing for the injured Manny Ramirez. Not to mention, a Pawtucket record of a 25-game hitting streak.

Ellsbury hit .353 last year in just 116 AB’s. He won’t hit for much power, but is a force at the top of the lineup for a Red Sox team that will score a lot of runs. And, Ellsbury will help your all important stolen base totals. He swiped 9 in the Bigs last year and a total of 50 overall with his three clubs.

The ceiling is high for Ellsbury, but there’s no guarantee he will be with the club when the Sox break camp. While it is rumored that Boston is trying to move Crisp, Ellsbury may have to wait for a mid-season call up to break the starting lineup if the Red Sox can’t move Crisp.

# 4 — Ian Kennedy, Starting Pitcher, New York Yankees

Kennedy is another Yankee who benefited from exposure in a September call up. He started three games and had a sparkling 1.89 ERA while holding opponents to a .191 BA.

Kennedy rose through the Yank’s farm system like a torpedo last year moving from Hi A Tampa to AA Trenton to AAA Scranton/Wilkes Barre, before joining the pinstripers in September. His combined record was 13-3 with 178 strikeouts in 166 IP.

Kennedy’s best pitch is his changeup which has a nice run to it. He can hit 92 MPH, but is often criticized for a too slow curveball which can bottom out at a middle-schoolish 69.

Fantasy Baseball Dugout sees Kennedy as the # 5 starter in the Yankees rotation in a crowded pitching corpse that includes Wang, Petitte, Chamberlain, Hughes, and Mussina. Kennedy should win at least 12 games in 2008.

# 5 — Evan Longoria, third baseman, Tampa Bay Devil Rays

Another name you’ve heard of, but more likely because of its similarity to many men’s fantasy, and I’m not talking baseball at all here. Longoria was the third overall pick by the Devil Rays in 2006 out of a stellar All-American career with the Long Beach State Dirtbags.

Longoria, who played shortstop in college, is seen more as a third baseman in the Bigs. His lack of speed projects him better at the hot corner where he has soft hands and good body control that will likely push Akinori Otsuka over to second.

Longoria will get plenty of playing time for the Devil Rays and is the favorite to be the AL Rookie of the Year in 2008. Longoria is a .300+ guy with 30+ homers, even in his rookie campaign.

Last year, Longoria played at AA Montgomery and AAA Durham in one of the best farm systems in the MLB. He hit 26 homers while knocking in 97 RBI. Longoria also belted 29 doubles.

The knock on Longoria is that he can sometimes be too aggressive at the plate, sometimes chasing bad pitches. This led to 110 strikeouts last season.

# 6 — Brandon Wood, SS/3B, Los Angeles Angels

In 2005, Wood broke into the pro ranks with 43 home runs for High A Rancho Cucomonga. His season with the Quakes pinned Wood as a superstar, but his stats since, while good, have been a bit more pedestrian. He hit 23 homers and .272 BA at AAA Salt Lake last year.

Wood has power, but also strikes out a lot. He fanned 120 times at Salt Lake last year before getting 33 AB’s with the Angels. Critics site that Wood often tries to pull the ball too much which makes him susceptible to outside pitches.

The Angels still have Aybar, Figgins, and Izturis in the mix at shortstop, but none of these guys have the pop that Wood has. Expect Wood to be the Angels third baseman this season.

# 7 — Adam Miller, Starting Pitcher, Cleveland Indians

Miller has been dominant in the minor leagues, but has been injury prone so be sure to check his status before drafting him in March. He only pitched 65 innings last year at AAA Buffalo where he went 5-4, 4.82.

When he’s healthy, Miller can be lights out. He has hit 97 on the gun, although not as of late. Still, his slider is very impressive and clearly his best pitch. Miller has been more effective as he’s matured as a pitcher and not tried to blow his heater by everyone.

We see Miller as an eventual starter, but he’ll probably start 2008 in the Tribe’s bullpen or will battle the more experienced Aaron Laffey for the #5 starting job behind Sabathia, Carmona, Westbrook, and BallparkBob lookalike Paul Byrd. We’re thinking Laffey will earn the # 5 spot just to add a second southpaw to the Indians’ rotation.

# 8 — Daric Barton, first baseman, Oakland A’s

Barton was acquired from the Cardinals in 2004 in the Mark Mulder deal. After moving from catcher to first base, Barton had a streaky year in 2007 for AAA Sacramento where he hit .293 with 9 HR’s and 38 doubles.

He has no wheels and is not a power hitter despite weighing 205. Recently, he’s been getting more loft on his stroke, but he’s basically a line drive hitter of the Kevin Youklis mode.

A left-handed hitter, Barton will likely be the A’s starting first baseman this year unless Dan Johnson can beat him out which appears to be unlikely. He’s strong and hits the ball extremely hard so if Barton can pick up more of a homerun stroke, he could change his game and be a 20+ homerun hitter.

# 9 — Luke Hochevar, Starting Pitcher, Kansas City Royals

I know, picking a pitcher on the Royals is crazy, but this one is worth a look. Hochevar was the number one overall pick in the 2006 draft. His stats last year were, quite frankly, not impressive either–4.69 at AA Wichita and 5.12 at AAA Omaha.

But, that’s why we call them sleepers. Hochevar, 24, hits 95 with his fastball and has a late-breaking curve that can be devastating. He needs to work on his control and how well he does with his control will determine if he makes the big club in April.

Expect Hochevar to battle Kyle Davies for a spot in the Royals’ rotation behind Meche, Bannister, Greinke, and De La Rosa. Based on his less than impressive minor league stats, you’ll be able to pick up Hochevar in the late rounds and he could prove to be worth the gamble in large leagues.

# 10 — Jeff Clement, catcher, Seattle Mariners

Clement can flat out rake. But, there’s just one problem, the Mariners don’t have an opening behind the plate with Kenji Johjima there.

Clement broke Drew Henson’s national high school record with 75 career homeruns out of Iowa. Clement went on to play college ball at Southern Cal spurning the Twins offer in the 2002 draft.

The left handed hitting Clement stroked 20 dingers last year at AAA Tacoma with a .275 BA. He was streaky last year at Tacoma and his stats suffered from playing at cavernous Cheney Park in the Pacific Coast League. Clement slugged over 100 points higher while playing on the road.

With Johjima entrenched as the Mariners’ catcher, however, Clement will have to get his AB’s as a DH or when the M’s give Johjima a breather. Johjima hits righty so the left-handed hitting Clement should get some shots when the M’s face a bevy of right handed pitchers.

The metric system of measurement is an internationally agreed-upon set of units for expressing the amounts of various quantities such as length, mass, time, and temperature. As of now, every nation in the world has adopted the metric system, with only four exceptions: the United States, Brunei, Burma, and Yemen (which use the English units of measurement). Because of its convenience and consistency, scientists have used the metric system of units for more than 200 years. Originally, the metric system was based on only three fundamental units: the meter for length, the kilogram for mass, and the second for time. Today, there are more than 50 officially recognized units for various scientific quantities.

The Metric system was developed in France during the Napoleonic reign of France in the 1790’s. The metric system has several advantages over the English system due to which the scientific community has adopted the metric system almost from its inception. In fact, the metric system missed being nationalized in U.S. by one vote in the Continental Congress in the late 1700’s or early 1800’s. As it is used by most nations of the world, it has commercial and trade advantage. If American manufacturers having both domestic and international customers are to compete, they have to absorb the added cost of dealing with two systems of measurement.

A marathon is an endurance foot race which covers 26 miles, 385 yards (42.2 kilometers). It is named after the Greek Battle of Marathon, which occurred in 490 BCE. In addition to being an Olympic event for both men and women, marathons are run all over the world on a variety of terrain types by athletes at various skill levels. To perform well in a marathon, an athlete undergoes a vigorous period of training to develop stamina and learn his or her physical limitations.

It is said that after the Greeks were victorious over the Persians at the Battle of Marathon, they sent a runner to Athens with the news. The runner, Pheidippides, ran the entire distance to Athens without stopping, announced the victory, and then dropped dead, due to the physical stress on his body caused by the long run. Numerous authors included the story in poems and songs, including Robert Browning in 1876. Browning’s poem inspired Michel Breal, who organized the revival of the Olympic Games in 1896 and included a marathon.

History, however, seems to suggest that Pheidippides was actually sent from Athens to Sparta to request assistance at Marathon. This is how Herodotus, who wrote extensively about the Greco-Persian wars, told the story. A runner was certainly sent from Marathon to Athens to relay the news, but it may not have been Pheidippides, and the journey was probably not completed without a single stop.

In a modern marathon, organizers set out a race course which meets the distance requirement, which was set in the 1908 Olympic Games at London. The course is left open for a set period of time, usually around four hours, and runners who fail to complete the course are picked up and brought to the finish line. In marathons with a larger group of less experienced runners, the course may be left open longer, to allow them to finish. Long distance running is very demanding on the body. Runners have an extensive training program which mixes endurance running with resting, so that the body is not damaged. They also monitor their physical health during the race, in an effort to maintain the proper electrolyte balance so that they do not suffer from an imbalance of salts in the body.

The Olympics began in 776 B.C. with a single event, a 200-yard dash called a stadion. In time, 2- stadia and 24-stadia events were added, and wrestling appeared in 708 B.C. Eventually, interest in the games declined, and they were discontinued in 394 A.D. In 1896, the modern Olympics were initiated and held in Greece. The games attracted about 500 athletes from 13 nations. Since then, the games have been held at various cities around the world every four years. The games have steadily increased in the number of participants, as well as the number of events. In 1896, 311 men competed from 13 nations, and the United States won gold medals in 9 of the 12 events. In 1996, over 10,000 men and women athletes competed from 197 nations. The summer games feature archery, basketball, boxing, canoeing, cycling, fencing, field hockey, gymnastics, handball, horseback riding, judo, rowing, shooting, soccer, swimming, tennis, track and field, volleyball, water polo, weight lifting, wrestling, and yachting.

In the past, U.S. track and field competitions were conducted using the English system of measurement. That is, American runners competed at distances of 100 yards, 440 yards, and one mile. In Olympic competitions, events are conducted using the metric system owing to its international acceptance. Olympic runners compete at comparable distances such as 100, 400, and 1500 meters. The marathon, however, is an exception. It corresponds to the distance run by the Greek messenger who carried news of the Athenian victory on the Plains of Marathon in 490 B.C. That legendary distance was 26 miles, 385 yards.

In 1924, the Olympic winter games were introduced at Chamonix, France. Subsequently, the winter games have been held three times in the United States, twice at Lake Placid and once at Squaw Valley. The winter games feature skating, skiing, bobsledding, luge, tobogganing, and ice hockey. In Nordic cross-country skiing, the races are 10, 20, 30, and 50 kilometers; in ski jumping, the ramps are 70 and 90 meters. Thus, Olympic competitions – winter and summer – employ the metric system of measurement. The 400-meter Olympic race is nearly identical to 440 yards, and the world records for the two races are within tenths of a second.

Finding free foreclosure listings that are timely and accurate is possible no matter what community you are talking about. It does not matter whether you are talking about a county within the country such as Salt Lake County, Utah which has thrived in comparison to most counties within the United States or a county that has been greatly hit by the loss of manufacturing jobs such as Mahoning County, Ohio which features the city of Youngstown, Ohio. The numbers involved in the numbers of houses in limbo are available.

Hector Milla Editor of the “Free Home Foreclosure Listings” website — http://www.FreeHomeForeclosureListings.net — pointed out;

“… The city of Youngstown is a city which has lost companies such as Ford. The Congressman who represents the area by the name of Tim Ryan is trying to deal with the foreclosure crisis and the job losses by trying to fund green business incubators for example. Because of the high amount of foreclosures within a city like Youngstown the mayor and the city have commissioned the building of a new public housing project called Arlington Heights …”

The new public housing project will receive funds from the Federal Housing Administration and the Department of Housing and Urban Development. The housing project will provide sixty brand new apartments for low income individuals to live in.

Up to date foreclosure listings can also break down the percentage of foreclosures within a particular county if you look hard enough. If you have a feeling you are not getting a fresh look at the properties that are available through the foreclosure process, groups like the National Association of Realtors could very well be willing to provide that information.

“… Other cities where you want to see a recent and accurate listing of foreclosed properties is Scranton, Pennsylvania. This is true because Forbes listed Scranton as one of America’s fastest dying cities and thus you might be able to get a good deal on a foreclosed property there. Failing properties financially speaking within these cities can only sometimes cost you twenty or thirty thousand dollars …” H.Milla added.
